Tools

Here are some tools that our former seekers have used to their advantage and have offered to share with you.

Ken's JobBoard Spreadsheet

Ken Champion shared his list of favorite job boards in this spreadsheet. You may use it to help direct your search. Feel free to give us feed back on boards which you find particularly helpful or those which you find are misleading or misrepresenting themselves.

To have your own copy of this spreadsheet right click on the link and then click "Save As". This will give you an opportunity to save the spreadsheet on your local drive.

Please note that this spreadsheet does not represent an endorsement of any board in particular. It is intended to provide a simple way for you to connect to some of the most popular boards used by our members.

Don's Job Search Log

Don Lemieux, a fellow jobseeker, has offered to share a tool that he has used to help in the job search. It contains several convenient tabs for organizing and tracking resume submissions, networking contacts, interviews, and career web site activity.

If you use a spreadsheet like this for tracking your job search activity, check with your GA Department of Labor representative and you may be able to use this tool in place of the DOL "green sheets" as evidence of your job search. It will save you the time and effort to transcribe the information from one tool to the other.

The file also includes an "Expenses" tab. Certain expenses associated with your job search may be tax deductible. This spreadsheet will help you track those expenses

Anita's tools for Managing Your Job Search as a Project

Here are links to the tools that you have seen and heard Anita Dear use in her presentations to our job seekers group. We hope that you will find these helpful in your personal job search. All are in PDF format to make them easy to use if you don't have access to MS Word.

Career Search ACTION Plan Our thanks go out to Bobbie Rogers for letting us provide you with your presentation on building your personal Career Search ACTION Plan. This PDF file contains her complete presentation.
